Richard Cechak

Bachelor of Science Special Education/Elementary Education Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction Grades 5-8

Richard Cechak has been a special education teacher for 33 years. He has retired from the Spring-Ford Area School District in 2022 where he worked with special needs children with emotional regulation, learning disabilities and executive functioning. Prior to working at Spring-Ford, he began his career in the Boyertown Area School District where he worked with students with many disabilities. While he works with a variety of students with different needs, he first develops a connection with his clients in which to build self-esteem. He believes that unless a learner believes in themselves and their abilities, they cannot build any life-long academic success. Richard has worked with students that not only attend the Spring- Ford Area School District, but also attend Boyertown Area School District, Pottsgrove Area School District, Malvern Prep, Pope John Paul II, Episcopal Academy, and Villa Marie Academy.
